fall break and this weekend

So I would have definately updated before but this week has been so dang crazy I haven't had time to much other then study, homework, and then in free time just try to chill and watch stuff online. I would have thought that at least the Monday after Fall Break that they would have been easy on the workload. NOO SIIRR. It was basically like "Welcome back, here's a crapload of homework so that you won't have any free time. Enjoy!"  Ugh. Coolleegee.
But last weekend I was home for Fall Break, which was nice. I got home around 7:40 ish so that I could watch Pushing Daisies. It was good timing. So it was really nice but incredibly weird to be home. I missed the puppies, I suppose the parents, and bed. Yum, it was nice to sleep in my own bed. I finally got to see my redone bathroom which looks really nice and quite different, but good different. It was a wonderful experience not to do the awkward morning things like college (you know the whole shower shoes, bathrobe, shower cart, and towel experience) and it was also weird to wake up and not see Amelia.. I was always like ".. where did Am- oh wait, I'm home.. haha..". On Thursday, me and mom got up semi-early (10ish) and went to Linvilla, Antonella's, and Target. Lord, I missed those pies, cider doughnuts and the super awesome Italian food. Target.. well, we have it here but it was good to get more sweaters and such. They've been super useful in the chilly weather as of late. On Friday I got to sleep in and chill at home for a little while. I watched cartoons and cuddled with puppies until 2ish which was when I went to go visit Writer's Guild in HHS. It was funny to walk around there again. I was like I didn't belong.. I was trying to avoid the office area so they didn't see and possibly recognize me. It was pretty intense, actually.. I felt like a spy. I walked around the second floor, looking for WG and eventually found them in the library. I sneaked in and walk super secretly up to them. They didn't notice a first because they were all talking and/ or working but it was Maria who saw me first and yelled my name and hugged me. Of course this caused everyone else to notice and eventually people added on and it became a large group hug. I felt much loved. The rest was fun, I talked to everyone and then eventually we all parted up and we hugged again. Around 4, my mommy came to pick me up so we could retrieve a K-bo. Which took a while... coz we got lost. Thanks a lot mapquest.. you and your weird directions.. oh well. Buy the time we got to K-bo's house it was 6ish and we took the soccer mom van to go to Sampan. Maeve and Kim joined K-bo and I and it was super fun. I hadn't had good chinese food in about 2 months so I devoured my Buddah's Delight. It was a delight indeedd..
After dinner, K-bo, Maeve, and I went to Zeniakon where Maeve dressed up as a cat, K-bo was a dog, and I was the Doctor from Doctor Who. Of course. We wandered around for a little but we found a concert which was cool and then stayed for the dancing. A woman tried to teach a room full of extremely confused teenagers these really intense scottish, irish, and 18th century dances. Needless to say we had no idea what was going on at all. After the confusing but fun dancing, there was a rave.. ish.. thing. The keyboardist from the band played some songs and we danced but as we looked around the room, about 90% of the room was kinda just standing there. Ohh well.. WE had fun. After dancing for awhile, we ventured back home.
So Saturdayyy. Oh my god. Around 1, we picked up K-bo and then we all went downtown where we went to see Cornelia Funke, author of the Inkheart books (one of my favourite authors). I got to go backstage and have her sign all my books I had with me as well as the newest one, Inkdeath. It was beautiful. Not only is she a great author, she's also SUPER cool. So after I got everything signed and we talked a little, I went out and introduced her and the she talked about her books and read aloud from Inkdeath. The whole experience was amazing. I love Cornelia. More. If that's possible.
Plus, we got to see a trailer for Inkheart, which looks good but you can never really tell.. She did have a large part in casting and such so it should be decent.
On Sunday, I got picked up around 9:30 and drove with another girl from my high school to Ithaca again. We had lunch at Wegman's which was beautiful. It was around 2 when I got back to the dorm and I had unpacked and then called home to tell the 'rents I landed safely and then texted Chris who got stuck at Ithaca for fall break because I figured he would be bored and wanting to see some people. It turns that Geoff was already back as well so me and the boys went walking. I went down a path which if we had gone further, we could have gone to the gorges but none of felt the drive to walk down a long hill and then make the climb up again so we kinda just walked back to the campus. It was a really pretty walk in the fall with all the leaves and such and I definitely broke in my new boots! We parted ways to finish up homework and wait for other people to come back for dinner. It was about six and people still hadn't come back so we three went to Terraces and had dinner with other leftover from Fall Break/ got back early. Everyone else got back around 7-8 but it was kinda late by then to do something, especially since we all had to get ready for stuff on Monday.
So that was basically Fall Break. It was good times.

This week was again, crazy busy.. I was basically running around a lot and studying for 3 different things at the same time. Ugh. I had project meetings and Buzzsaw meetings, and homework, and essays, and test and I think my brain brome from reading for my seminar class. Flip, I was so glad when it was Friday. At 4, we all went to the mall. We went to Target, which we spent a lot of time in.. coz Target is awesome. I got one more long sleeved shirt and then we toured around the mall for little but we left around 7 to go the Commons, Amelia wanted us to check out the Lost Dog Cafe. It was the best decision EVER. It was Amelia, Geoff, Christina, Mara, Hinzy and me. Before dinner, Mara, Amelia and I decided to share the Apple Chuntney with brie on toasted bread. It was like an orgasm of Thanksgiving in my moth. SOO GOOODDD.. I had something called Southwest Tofu Cake which was a combo of tofu and southwest spices- like corn and tortilla and those mexican kinda spices on a baguette with lettuce and tomato with mac and cheese on the side. I DIEDDD. IT WAS SO DAMN GOOD. I want to live in that restaurant. All of us do. I tried Mara's vodka pasta (which is like the Gilffity's one) and Hinzy's tuna steak sandwich. Which was AMAZING. I think I like tuna. But just like that. After we all had our dinner, we decided to order three different deserts. We had a cheesecake thing which was cut up and then wrapped in cinnamon and then drizzled in raspberry sauce. It's as good as it sounds. BUT BETTER. And then a brownie which had Purity banana ice cream and carmel all over. Yeah, that was more amazing too. The last one was a chocolate mousey thing with peanut butter in between the layers. MMmMMmm.
I wanna go there all the time now. It's beautiful. After Lost Dog, we went to Mara and Christina's room and watched Sleepy Hollow and then went to bed. It was a good day.

staying in and evil midterms

This weekend we really didn't do too much, we all had midterms and essays.. it's that time of year. So on Friday, me and Amelia went to Mara and Christina's room, watched girlie movies and gossiped about cute boys around campus and then guy drama back home. It was good times. On Saturday, we had bruch and went back to do respective homeworkds, had dinner and then we planned a scary movie and game night. I watched part of Exorcism with them but I had to go to a play for my Intro to Theather class called The Exonerated- it's about 6 people who were wrongfully convicted and put on Death Row and their stories about how they got there and how they lived when they got to prison. It's basically an intense emotional rollercoaster that changed how I view the death penatlty. ITS FANTASTIC. Anyways, after that I went back to Rowland, changed into comfies and we played Celebrities. It was a good time. After that, we went over to East Tower and hung out, playing some random improv games and we descided we were hungry and ordered some Chinese food online and went to Mara and Christana's room to watch The Mothman (which wasn't scary at all..).

I've gotta say, the whole thing s kinda sketchy and awkward but the food was amazing and I had the rest of it today for a snack. Yum yum Chinese and studying is now my new favourite.

I've also recently got really into Freaks and Geeks, which I had watched a bit before but never apparently appricated. I LOVE THIS SHOW. It's bloody genius. It's funny to see actors and actresses that you recognize form other stuff though. Like Sam is Dr. Sweets from Bones who looks only sightly different but both Seth Rogen and James Franco look exactly the same. It's remarkable how 96% of the cast also star in all the same movies. It's beautiful. I'm almost done with it and I'm savoring the last few episodes. Oh, Freaks and Geeks.. who desided to cancel you? Coz that's just mean.

Well I should really get back to studying, so I'll update ya'll soon.

blech, sickness..

So for the past 4 days I've had an annoying cold thing where I blow my nose and cough like it's my job and generally feel like crap on toast. Little to say I've been pretty much not willing to move, work, etc because.. well.. you know. You're sick, you don't feel like doing much. On the weekend I didn't go out to either go shopping and I didn't go clubbing coz I felt so icky. And it's been really damn annoying feeling rubbish and also needing to go to class because if I don't.. I'm kinda screwed. So I've been doing as little as possible, chillaxing a lot, and drinking lots of tea and hot chocolate. And I've figured out what makes me feel better: a mug of tea, a bit of music, and the Doctor. Perfect combination. :)
Nothing much else new to report, I've been working on my poetry paper a lot, I have it at 4 pages (full) now and the prof just told the class that that;s exactly what he's looking for so I feel really good about it- I just have to perfect it and probably bring it to the writing center, hopefully he'll actually know how to grade writing, unlike my seminar teacher who makes us go to the center and then crosses out all the stuff the writing center had us change.. Ohhh Warren.. what will we ever do?
Other then that, nothing of particular interest.. Oh wait.. no, over the weekend we got to meet Geoff's boyfriend Alex, but it wasn't for that long, he had to leave early to get home. He seemed nice though. And also, me and K-bo decided to Facebook marry each other. Because it's funny. And we're just that cool to confuse other people.
So I'm going to go back to hacking out my lung. Update ya'll soon.
